Brian Ainsby
Director, Program Management, APAC
Brian has a long history with Astea, dating back to 1991 when he managed the development of Dispatch 1, Astea’s legacy product. In 1994 Brian took on the responsibility of General Manager, Asia Pacific and set up the Asia Pacific office in Sydney, until in 1997 he undertook the position of Director, Program Management and now has responsibility for all design requirements of Alliance Enterprise versions. In the 17 years leading up to his start with Astea, Brian held similar developmental and management positions with George Ward Distributors, Sydney and Tempo Computer Services, Canada. Brian holds a Business Degree majoring in Marketing from the University of Kingston, UK.
Michael Tsai
Financial Controller, APAC
Michael Tsai joined Astea in May 2003 in the role of Financial Controller, Asia Pacific. In this role, Michael assumes the responsibility of all financial activity for the Asia Pacific region, bringing to this position over 10 years of experience within the IT&T industries. Prior to starting with Astea Michael held positions in financial management with companies such as TPG Group, Edge technology Group and Global One Communications. Michael is a CPA and holds a Master Degree of Commerce in Professional Accounting from the University of NSW and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Manilla, Philippines.
Steve Scott
Professional Services Manager, APAC
Steve has been involved with Astea since 1999 in the capacity of a Project Manager and in this role, project managed implementations for many of Astea’s customers including Marconi Australia, Port of Portland and Sagem Australasia. In 2002, Steve came onboard with Astea in the full time capacity of Professional Services Manager. In his role, Steve works closely with customers to provide professional services including business process and business re-engineering consulting, in addition to software development work.
Prior to working with Astea, Steve spent 13 years working for Repco Equipment Company firstly in the capacity of National Service Coordinator and then as National Technical Manager. In these roles Steve had the responsibility of managing field technicians nationally, managing computer repair facility, product software development and enhancement, training for service personnel as well as customer relations. From 1985 until 1987 Steve worked for a few companies as an Electronics Technician refining his equipment service and repair skills. Steve holds an Associate Diploma of Electrical Engineering, a Master of Business Administration degree and is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science (Computing) degree from Macquarie University.
